Let us conduct you to one of the last refuges of the IUCN critically-endangered gharial, a fish-eating crocodilian that has been decimated from much of its erstwhile range. A boat safari on the Chambal river brings you close to these magnificent reptiles whose males have a pot-shaped boss at the end of their long snouts, thus earning them the name (from meaning'pot').
The gharial is the only known living crocodilian with obvious sexual dimorphism.
