Explore the rich wildlife of Ranthambore National Park, spanning approximately 1334 sq. km, with expert naturalists as your guides. Ranthambore National Park is home to the majestic Bengal tiger, over 200 bird species, and various mammals such as leopards, jungle cats, hyenas, and antelope.
Indian safaris differ greatly from African ones. While tigers are the main attraction, their elusive nature, combined with dense terrain and thick undergrowth, makes spotting them a challenge. Skilled drivers and guides, however, make tracking these magnificent creatures a thrilling experience.
In Ranthambore, safaris are conducted in open Jeeps, called Maruti Gypsies, that seat up to five people. These 4WD vehicles are perfect for navigating rugged terrain with their quiet engines, ideal for spotting wildlife. You will be accompanied by a licensed driver and a trained forest guide, who will ensure you follow the park's regulations and use techniques like tracking footprints, listening for alarm calls, and communicating with other vehicles to find tigers.
As the number of safari Jeeps is limited, the park also operates an open 20-seater safari canter to accommodate more visitors. To secure a spot in a Jeep, book your safari in advance.
Experience an unforgettable safari from 1st October to 30th June. The early morning safari runs from 6:30 AM to 9:45 AM, while the afternoon safari is from 2:15 PM to 5:30 PM. Each safari lasts between three to three and a half hours.
With 10 different zones in the park, vehicles follow an extensive network of tracks in each area. A maximum of eight vehicles are allowed in each zone at a time, ensuring a unique yet controlled wildlife experience.
